Open protocols, familiar payment rails
Kazam links existing hardware through OCPP, accepts payments via Indian gateways, and handles grid demand response through standard APIs. No proprietary connectors or vendor lock-in.
OCPP hardware from any manufacturer
Kazam supports OCPP 1.6J and OCPP 2.0.1, covering most commercial EV charging hardware in India. No firmware changes are needed. Connect once, and each network charger appears in the dashboard within minutes.
OCPP keeps charger management portable. You are not locked to software bundled by a hardware maker. Change vendors, and new chargers still connect to the same Kazam backend.
Take every rupee through your operators' existing payment rails
Kazam uses Razorpay and Stripe for session billing. Both support UPI, credit and debit cards, and net banking. Billing runs from session completion to bank settlement, with each transaction recorded in the dashboard.
Choose per kWh, per minute, or flat session billing. Kazam reads OCPP meter values, computes the charge, sends it through your configured gateway, and records the outcome. No manual billing work.
Answer grid signals within your DISCOM contract
With Modbus-capable meters or grid demand response programs, Kazam can receive curtailment signals and throttle active sessions automatically, keeping the site within its contracted grid capacity.
Avoid peak-period demand penalties and join programs where the grid operator pays you to lower load during stress events.
